Why Green Renovation (Energy Efficiency Upgrade)?
In Greece, two out of three properties were built before 1980, resulting in a lack of thermal
insulation, double glazing frames and efficient heating-cooling systems. This fact may lead to
high costs and sub-optimal comfort conditions for many homeowners.
The energy efficiency upgrade, or otherwise green renovation, is the set of measures taken to
improve the energy efficiency of a building, with the aim of reducing energy losses and the
related costs.
